here's my gripe…

>watch out for exploding heads!

>the worst insomnia is the one induced by one’s kids.

and as if the constant whinging isn’t bad enough, there is the struggle to keep from screaming “bite me!” to the next unreasonable demand made at 1:30 in the morning.

this is the hour when you find yourself asking, “why is drugging them a bad thing again?”

maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that i’ve been stuck in this house for the past two weeks. i think i’m losing it. well, more so than usual.

ok, and here’s one reason why i’m losing it. just when i resign myself to being up all night; when begging, cajoling and threatening has done nothing to get my wee ones in bed, i make myself a cup of coffee and decide to do a little whining of my own. and don’t you know those little twerps are asleep! so typical.

good night!

>early morning musings, but not really a-musing

  • despite wanting to eat as healthy as possible, i just don’t care for most things made of completely whole wheat.
  • this has been a really sucky weekend. both kids are sick and hubby and i haven’t had a date night in two weeks. not that i’m complaining. much.
  • time is ticking away until my mil is here and i still haven’t done the big clean-up and rearrange that i intended. heh.
  • i could finally see the bottom of my kitchen sink saturday. except now it’s full of crap again.
  • this is hardly a news flash, but my dad is irritating. he wanted us to go out to dinner with them yesterday, even though the kids are sick. he didn’t want to come over here, but he was willing to take them out in public and expose them to who knows what so he could go to don pablo’s. he’s also developed some sort of sore on his toe the one he gets gout in every few months, but he won’t go to the doctor. mom thinks he’s going to wait until it’s so bad he has to have his foot amputated. yay for stubbornness and denial!
  • it might just be because i’m tired, but i think i might be coming down with whatever the kids have. double yay! 😐

boring title

have you ever gotten an idea for a blog, but by the time you sit down, start going through the steps needed to get it written, etc and do whatever else you need to do to get it ready, end up feeling like “who cares anymore?”

i was out saturday and took a couple photos with my phone with the idea of blogging about it, but trying to fix the photos up and whatever…i’m wondering if it’s even worth it now. blah.

oh, what the hell. what else have i got to do?

Pic #162.jpg
this enormous photo is of my coffee i had saturday afternoon. or early evening. whatever it was. who cares. anyway, it’s my coffee. i took the photo because, if you look at the blurb about how they used recycled material for the coffee sleeve, you’ll notice, too that they say, “intended for single use only”. that struck me funny. heh. yeah. whatever. *yawn*

then i took another photo, but i doubt you’ll be able to see the intention behind it.

Pic #163.jpg
you probably can’t see it, but my cup was hardly full of coffee. there must have been a good inch to an inch and a half of foam in my cup. i tell you, since we started going to seattle’s best, the quality of starbuck’s coffee leaves a lot to be desired.

wow, you must just be flabbergasted at how exciting this blog entry is. whoo. yowsa. do i know how to have fun, or what?

zzzzz….

sorry, dropped off for a bit there.

yippee yippee yippee

i need coffee. lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of coffee. anybody know where i can get me some of that caffeinated water?

we took the boys for a drive last night in the hopes that we could get them to go to bed a bit early. it worked, thankfully, and hubby and i were able to get an early night for a change, too. i was off to dreamland so quickly, which is unusual for me, that i don’t think i even moved the whole night. let me qualify that, though. i’m not sure what time i woke up this morning.

you see, our power must have gone out briefly yesterday afternoon. it only seemed to affect the little digital clock that we have sitting on our entertainment center. i don’t know why, but neither i nor my husband reset it. so when i woke up this morning all i could see was that the clock was blinking. i couldn’t even read it from where i was. we can see the clock from our bedroom.

anyway, i hed to get up to do my business and that was when i realized that my dear, angelic oldest son WAS AWAKE!!! he wasn’t getting into trouble or anything. he was sitting up in bed talking to himself. you know how 4 year olds are. once he realized i was up, that seemed to be an indication to him that it was ok to get up and start playing. ugh.

the thing to know about my oldest child is that once he’s awake, he’s awake, thank you very much! you can not get him back to sleep, no matter how much you coax, plead, demand, bribe, whatever. in turn, if he’s asleep, he’s usually deeply asleep and good luck to you if you want to wake him up. unless you have ice cream. that’ll work. usually.

so, anyway, he wasn’t going back to bed. i have no idea how long he was up before i awoke, but he is still going strong. he woke his brother up a few hours ago. and my early morning is starting to catch up to me.

at least i got to spend a little time with hubby before he left for work.

*yawn*
