>it rained this afternoon. there was even a bit of a storm. and for a few minutes i had some time to myself and i could feel the rain calling to me.
there was such a hush that fell over the neighbourhood. all you could hear was the gentle drop of the rain as it fell. it was so peaceful. i grabbed my camera, the camera i haven’t touched in over a month, but no mere photo could possibly capture the beauty, the tranquility, the quiet of that moment. it was if the world had stopped to take a breath.
despite wanting to eat as healthy as possible, i just don’t care for most things made of completely whole wheat.
this has been a really sucky weekend. both kids are sick and hubby and i haven’t had a date night in two weeks. not that i’m complaining. much.
time is ticking away until my mil is here and i still haven’t done the big clean-up and rearrange that i intended. heh.
i could finally see the bottom of my kitchen sink saturday. except now it’s full of crap again.
this is hardly a news flash, but my dad is irritating. he wanted us to go out to dinner with them yesterday, even though the kids are sick. he didn’t want to come over here, but he was willing to take them out in public and expose them to who knows what so he could go to don pablo’s. he’s also developed some sort of sore on his toe the one he gets gout in every few months, but he won’t go to the doctor. mom thinks he’s going to wait until it’s so bad he has to have his foot amputated. yay for stubbornness and denial!
it might just be because i’m tired, but i think i might be coming down with whatever the kids have. double yay! ๐

>have you ever gotten an idea for a blog, but by the time you sit down, start going through the steps needed to get it written, etc and do whatever else you need to do to get it ready, end up feeling like “who cares anymore?”
i was out saturday and took a couple photos with my phone with the idea of blogging about it, but trying to fix the photos up and whatever…i’m wondering if it’s even worth it now. blah.
oh, what the hell. what else have i got to do?
this enormous photo is of my coffee i had saturday afternoon. or early evening. whatever it was. who cares. anyway, it’s my coffee. i took the photo because, if you look at the blurb about how they used recycled material for the coffee sleeve, you’ll notice, too that they say, “intended for single use only”. that struck me funny. heh. yeah. whatever. *yawn*
then i took another photo, but i doubt you’ll be able to see the intention behind it.
you probably can’t see it, but my cup was hardly full of coffee. there must have been a good inch to an inch and a half of foam in my cup. i tell you, since we started going to seattle’s best, the quality of starbuck’s coffee leaves a lot to be desired.
wow, you must just be flabbergasted at how exciting this blog entry is. whoo. yowsa. do i know how to have fun, or what?

no, this isn’t a blog about annoying jingles, i’m just trying to get some of the goofiness out of my head.
i am rather exhausted today. it appears to be a combination of insomnia and kids who are trying to put me into an early grave. i don’t know what i’m going to do about either.
this is where i was going to put a photo that i took this morning, but for the last few days i’ve been having problems uploading photos to flickr. suddenly, i’m only able to upload one photo at a time, and it’s really starting to piss me off. i don’t know if it’s a problem with flickr, my computer or my internet connection. is it possible that cincinnati bell have discovered that hubby and i were going to change over to time warner and have slowed our connection speed down in retaliation?
did i mention i was tired? i think it’s worth mentioning again.
and it’s monday. yet another weekend gone with absolutely nothing accomplished. yay. the grass still hasn’t been mown. we have 6 trees of as yet undetermined species sitting in a bucket of water down in the basement waiting to be planted. if they’re not dead by now. and hubby keeps talking about doing a vegetabe garden. ha! i’ll believe it when i see it. any of it.
the highlight of my weekend was date night last friday. we got out rather early, had a nice meal at cracker barrel and then went to the bookstore for coffee. the ony black spot on that evening was going to the ladies room and hearing someone exit a stall and leave the bathroom without washing her hands. *gag* almost makes me see why my sister walks around with 3 types of hand sanitizer in her purse.
and just so you don’t forget, i’m tired and need a nap. heh.
