we went out last night to do some shopping, mostly because the kids wanted to go. they still had some christmas money they couldn’t live without spending and all the planets aligned just right that we managed to go. now, normally when i talk about shopping trips with the kids, it’s to vent about how horrid they were and how i’ll never do it again, yada yada yada, but not this time. were we free from tantrums and meltdowns? not exactly, but it wasn’t so bad that i wanted to close the car door on my head, so we’re making progress!

no, what i want to talk about is this game i bought last night. i still had some christmas money that was about to make my head explode if i didn’t spend and this is one of the items i chose to spend it on.

now, for a while i have been thinking about getting one of those nintendo ds thingies. you know, the one with the little stylus. i’ve seen advertisements for a brain teaster game for it and i’ve really wanted to try it, but know what my kids are like, i haven’t really wanted to shell out that much money only to have them get a hold of it and break it. so when i saw this i thought, “why not?”

so far it’s not too bad, though i’ve only played one game on it. but my gosh, this game takes forever! there isn’t a whole lot of information on the case or online about the games, at least that i can find. the company doesn’t appear to have a website. i’ve been playing ‘inspheration’ and so far i’ve gotten to level 43. 43! how many fricking levels does this thing have? do i have hopes of reaching the last level sometime this weekend? i’m beginning to wonder. now we just have to wait and see if it does anything for my memory and…what was i saying again?
