>the day after thanksgiving: what i learned

  1. brining isn’t worth the hassle.
  2. two hours before your guests arrive is not the time to decide to clean the living room.
  3. if you can’t find your potato masher, it’s better to fix instant than try to fix them in the food processor.
  4. print out the cooking instructions for the turkey before the big day just in case you can’t get on line until noon and the turkey has already been in the oven for four hours.
  5. by making your guests wait to eat and making sure they’re good and hungry, you magically transform your so-so food into a delicious feast.
  6. ziploc xl storage bags are AWESOME!

yesterday went pretty well, all things considered. i am still feeling like crap, but i managed to get most everything done ahead of time, so the whole mashed potato thing wasn’t that bad.

and if anyone is putting up wallpaper, they’ll make great wallpaper paste.
