here's my gripe…

>wth?

>so, what do you do when you’re not able to go to bed? if you’re like me, you upload a bunch of stupid photos from the day before. best to make them boring, silly photos, too.

my day yesterday started off with this.

what a mess!

what a mess!

i decided i needed to make some coffee.

hmmm, what’s this?

crack pot (har!)

seems we have a crack in the bottom of our coffee pot. i can only guess how long it will hold up before it blows up, or something. yay. anyway, let’s get on with it.

making coffee

if you’ve never tried to pour something while holding a camera to take a photo of it, i highly recommend it. if only so you can see how difficult it is. and to feel like a bit of an ass for doing it in the first place.

i didn’t try to photograph myself putting the coffee grounds in the filter. can’t go wasting the stuff, can i?

making coffee

now, i tried to take some photos of the coffee as it was brewing. not very successful. mostly they’re really out of focus. plus there didn’t seem to be any way to not get my reflection in the the glass, which covered up the coffee dripping into the pot. i’m sure there’s a way around this, but since i didn’t take the time to figure out what it was, we’ll just fast forward to after the coffee finished brewing.

i know, you’re waiting for this torture to be over, aren’t you? there’s not much left now.

pour me a cup

if you think taking a photo of yourself pouring water into a coffee maker is fun, you haven’t tried anything until you’ve taken a photo of yourself pouring hot coffee into your mug. wowee!

now, i know how you all feel about this, but get over it. it works for me, ok?

creamer in my coffee

you’ll have to just pretend how good this photo would have turned out if my tripod hadn’t been in the car, which hubby took to work. go on, imagine it.

now you can imagine how good this next one would be with the tripod. i was trying to capture the wake from my spoon after stirring it up. i got a little wobbly, i guess, waiting to drink this.

and finally, how do you end a blog about a messy living room and a photo journey through making a pot of coffee? why, by taking a photo of the inside of your camera bag, of course!
