here's my gripe…

>*grumble grumble*

>today has been kind of sucky. i’ve had some annoying occurances this morning that are starting to make me question my being here at multiply, which really surprises me.

i was trying to upload some photos onto one of my groups because i got some really great photos of some clouds yesterday and i wanted to share them with the group. so, i’m getting the photos from flickr because the files are so big now that i don’t want to put them on my computer. the thing is, more than just the clouds upload and get posted publicly, which i didn’t realize would happen. i then go to try and delete the ones that i don’t want in there, which there are about 100. except that none of the photos are loading so i can’t tell what is what. i am then furiously trying to delete all of them one at a time, which is taking forever. i finally get them all deleted and go to do the next step, when i get a message saying that multiply is down for site maintenance.

great. i keep clicking on my multiply toolbar to see if they’re back up yet…waiting….waiting….

finally get back on and try to start again. this time i try to delete the whole post, not just the photos. i get the thing about site maintenance again. grrrr!!!!!! and it takes even longer for me to get back on. like 10 or 15 minutes this time. maybe more, i can’t remember.

i finally get it deleted and then re-upload the photos that i want and go about my business.

blah, blah, blah all the other crap that goes on with my day that i’d planned to blog about because a few minutes ago i was looking at my visitor stats and i notice something interesting. i see a visitor called service. i hit the link to see where else besides my homepage they might have been. isn’t that interesting, they’ve been to my video and photo pages. my big question is, “why?” i didn’t contact them. i thought about it, but i couldn’t have reached them because the site was down for maintenance. or was it just my site was down for maintenance. and that has been happening a lot to me lately. i also have been getting the page asking me to verify that i’m human.

now, granted, i’ll be the first to admit that i can be a bit paranoid, but what the hell? why is multiply customer service visiting those particular areas of my site when i haven’t contacted them? and they don’t send me any messages saying why they’re there. i don’t like it. it makes me feel harrassed. i changed my video page and my photo page to contacts only because i was getting weird visits from people i didn’t know. and now customer service. what the hell?
