here's my gripe…

>i /think/ it was worth it

> i hadn’t really planned on blogging, but apparently hubby is holding me to a comment i made while we were out tonight.

we went to mcdonald’s for dinner tonight. yes, the food is crappy, but the kids needed to blow off some steam. especially k. i can’t even remember the last time k has seen the outside of our house this winter. it’s been a while. and even the few times we all have been out, it hasn’t been for all that long. long story short, they needed to run around and mcdonald’s playplace seemed like as good a place as any.

so, we’re there and the boys are running around like their pants are on fire. then i hear a little voice calling, “mommy!” any mother will tell you that your ears prick up pretty fast and you start scanning around. but it wasn’t one of my kids. i kept wondering where the mother was who belonged to this child when i finally saw her come over to the area that teh voice was coming from. hubby was walking around the area where the slides were and came over to me saying that g “was going to rescue her”, meaning the little girl. i guess she was scared of how high she’d climbed and was afraid to get down. then i saw g scrambling up to the top saying, “i’m going to the rescue”. it was so cute. he climbed all the way over to her and led her over to the slides then went down the slide with her. is that cute or what? i told him how proud i was of him, but he was so busy running around, i don’t know that he even paid any attention to me.

they were really pretty good the whole time we were there, although another family kept talking about getting ice cream before they left for home, only to stand around forever eating the ice cream in front of everybody and saying, “come on, we’re going home” for like 20 minutes, but not leaving! i found that so annoying i can’t even begin to tell you.

ok. that’s it. whoop. the trip was worth it, not too sure reading this blog was. :p
