it appears that there is something called a non-albino white squirrel, which doesn’t actually look white, if you ask me, but whatever. i found this picture on wikipedia. i’m going to guess that the squirrels i’ve seen running around are either non-albino white squirrels or offspring of a non-albino and a red squirrel.

looking at them side by side, i’d say that my squirrel is probably just a light coloured red squirrel.
