here's my gripe…

*shudder*

we had a wasp in the house today. i don’t like wasps. i was stung once about 8 or 9 years ago by one. it hurt. a lot. a whole lot. i was already afraid of them before that. now i’m petrified.

so i see this wasp climbing around on the sheers in my living room and i about had a heart attack. all i could think was, “omg, it’s gonna sting one of my kids!” i kept trying to get them to go into another room, but they don’t know any better and they never listen to me, so they just kept dancing around. i didn’t know what to do. our entertainment center is right in front of the window that the wasp was climbing up and down on. how would i get to it? it was trying to find a way back outside i’m sure.

so, the only thing left was to get the vacuum. still scared crapless about it, i got an attachment onto the hose of the vacuum, turned it on nad hoped like hell that the wasp wouldn’t get angry and come barrelling for me. it did fly away from the hose and then onto the other side of the sheer and onto the actual window.

i’m starting to get more worried because i don’t know if i’m going to be able to reach it now. i moved the sheers ever so slightly so i could get the hose attachment behind the sheers without sucking them into the vacuum, but the wasp moved further away. crap.

so, i moved over to the other side and tried again. closer. closer. hot damn! i got him!! now what do i do? do i turn the vacuum off? can he get out? i have a regular vacuum with a bag. holy crap what do i do?!? so i start vacuuming up a few things that the kids dropped since they’ve been up. now what? i can’t leave the vacuum on indefinitely…

so i stuffed the end of the hose with a paper towel. now to just wait till hubby gets home. in 5 1/2 hours.

*sigh*
